Did you have a chance to make our Cinnamon Protein Bread from last week, dudes? We hope so, because this week we've got a perfect topping to put on it! It's our Roasted Almond & Honey Butter recipe and we're going to be making it right now!

  • 2c. Raw Almonds
  • 3T. Honey
  • 1/4 t. Salt

Spread the Raw Almonds evenly on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.  (12 maximum.  If you roast them to long you will start to deplete the nuts of their natural oils.)

Let them cool and approximately 15 to 20 minutes later pour them into your Food Processor or high speed Blender. Start blending....

About every two minutes stop to scrap the sides. From these four pictures below you can see the almonds went from a flour consistency to a butter in 8 minutes. (If the nuts did get a little too roasted, feel free to add a tablespoon or so of oil to help)

At this point we add our salt and honey and blend another couple minutes. The total time should be under 15 minutes. The aroma coming from this as you are blending is AMAZING!

There you have it: Roasted Almond & Honey Butter to spread on those slices of homemade Sweet Cinnamon Protein Bread

It's absolutely delicious on sliced apples too.

Enjoy!

(Note: (You will want to keep it stored in an air tight container in your refrigerator)
